Are you planning a visit to Gdańsk Zoo? From now on, you can explore it with your phone in hand — quite literally. On 15 July, the Vizoo app was launched at Gdańsk Zoo — your personal guide to Poland’s largest zoo by area.

125 hectares, hundreds of animals, feeding times and shows in various parts of the zoo — it’s easy to get lost and even easier to miss something. That’s exactly why Vizoo was created.

What can the app do?

• It’ll guide you step by step — an interactive map shows where you are and how to get to your chosen enclosure, food outlet or toilet
• It’ll plan a route just for you — choose the animals you want to see, and the app will map out the best route for your visit
• It’ll remind you about feeding times — select the feedings and shows you’re interested in, and you’ll get a notification just before they start. No more missed feedings!
• Plan your visit whilst you’re still at home — browse the schedule and plan your day at the zoo before you leave home
• Provides all the practical information — opening hours, ticket prices and visitor rules, as well as something less obvious: the latest time you can buy a ticket (the ticket offices close earlier than the zoo itself — it’s worth knowing this before you arrive!)
• Works offline — download content before your visit and use the map and guide even where there’s no internet connection
• Keeps the children entertained — quizzes, games and memory games turn your visit into an adventure, and the little ones learn whilst having fun
• It’ll tell you about the animals — fun facts, descriptions and photos of all the zoo’s residents, also in English

How to get started?

It’s simple — download the free Vizoo app from Google Play or the App Store, ideally before your visit. Select Gdańsk Zoological Garden, download the content and set off to meet the animals!
